Senior React Native Engineer
Ship cross-platform mobile apps for healthcare, fintech, D2C clients. React Native + Expo + native modules.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Mobile engineering at Allied BizTech is delivered as productized engagements — React Native + Expo on top of a TypeScript backend. We ship to App Store and Play Store under the client’s developer accounts, with native modules where it matters (offline-first sync, biometrics, BLE, camera pipelines).
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own mobile delivery on 1–2 client engagements at a time. Typical scope: HIPAA / PCI-aware app, offline-first, App Store + Play Store submission.
- Architect the native bridge layer when JS bridges are not enough (e.g. clinical voice transcription, low-latency video, hardware sensors).
- Drive App Store / Play Store submission from prep through approval — Apple review, Google Play data-safety form, content rating.
- Coordinate with our backend engineers on API contracts, auth flows, push-notification topology.
MUST-HAVES
- 8+ years shipping mobile apps to production. At least 3 years of React Native + Expo at non-trivial scale (100K+ MAU or HIPAA / financial compliance scope).
- Comfortable writing native Swift / Kotlin modules when needed. Has shipped at least one custom native module to production.
- Strong TypeScript fundamentals. Knows when to use Hermes, Reanimated, MMKV, watermelonDB.
- App Store / Play Store submission experience including the painful parts (privacy nutrition labels, content rating, crash-attribution debugging).
NICE TO HAVE
- Healthcare (HIPAA) clinical-app shipping experience.
- Worked with biometrics, BLE, or wearables integrations.
- Capacitor / Ionic experience for the rare engagement where that’s the right tool.
